New Year...New Clubs
By Shonda Seals
Another year in Seattle, and there are some new spots to check out, new places to get your groove thang movin' and new venues to put your mack down. We aren't tellin' you to stop chilling at your favorite joint, we're just telling you to check out the new flavors in Seattle. Up first we have a little, country, a little Hip Hop, a new afterhours spot and what is now Seattle's largest concert hall (sorry Showbox). Next month we'll run down some more of them, but for now...
Cowgirls Inc.
Cowgirls Inc. is the only saloon in Seattle with a mechanical bull to saddle up on to test your strength and riding capability. This nightclub also has a 45ft. iron wood stage and a full bar of course. "Seattle's only fun Country Western and Rock Saloon." Tuesday is country night and the cover is free! Open Tuesday through Saturday doors opening at 6 p.m. For more information and VIP passes checkout

Neumo's
Formerly known as Aerospace, Noise Lab and many other titles, but now newly remodeled, Neumo's, is one of the jump offs for the New Year. Inside there are four bars, separate seating areas, a stage, a VIP section overlooking the dance floor, and plenty of space to dodge unwanted company. Hopefully this location remains the same, and stays crackin'. Saturdays feature DJ Scene and SoulOne on the Hip Hop and Old School night at the weekly Yo Son party, which was recently profiled in Rolling Stone as one of the hottest nights in the country.

925 E. Pike St. (Corner of 10th and Pike)

Republic
After the club, hit up the After Hours at the Republic. On Saturdays, this Funky House has a full bar from 10 p.m.- 2 a.m. and if you get there before 2am the cover charge is free! This spot stays open to 5 a.m. for those who like to party until the sun comes up. On the turntables, DJ's rotating weekly are; Venus, Dirk, Mr. Jenkins, Austin Payne, Sol, Kl, and Giovanni.

Premier
Seattle's new, largest nightclub holds up to 2000 people. This venue has a restaurant, bar, and will feature lives performances from local and national artists on the 50 ft. wide stage. If the De La Soul Show was any indication, this spot should fast become one of Seattle's favorites. Also check out the official 2004 Rock Girl Search, sponsored by 99.9 KISW, to be held at the Premier on April 10, 2004. For more information, log on to www.kisw.com.
