The
Best Kept Secret tour kicked off on Friday January 3rd
at The Big Easy concert house in Boise, Idaho. Local artists
Puppet Master and Green Eyes a Hispanic Duo and Angel
accompanied by D.J. Flow, kicked off the night right putting
the packed crowd in the mood. Though nothing could prepare the
viewers for what was to come from Headliners BrokinSilence. A
live band started out their set with Our National Anthem.
While on 10 foot monitors, pictures of the trio flashed for
the crowd. Jayon, Donyae Shaun B, “BROKINSILENCE” echoed
through the club. The crowd screamed as the three men got on
stage. Dressed in yellow jump suits Brokinsilence started the
night off with their hit “Club Night”. Performing songs with
the live band in the background added a whole new level to the
meaning of R&B. Drums, saxophones, guitars and keyboards
echoed out in harmony and unison as the voices of three of
Boise’s most talented artists rang out with a range of songs
from club hits to love ballads showing their true talent.
A crowd
of mostly women hung onto every word that was sung by these
men. Many pushing to get to the front of the stage. I was
impressed at the dedication of these fans as they sang along
with Brokinsilence. Many dancing with their men to “Always”one
of their most famous love ballads.
If you are
new to the Boise area or just have not heard BrokinSilence you
are in for a treat if you go to one of their shows.
Brokinsilence first hit the stage in late spring blowing all
local compitition out of the water. Their first single “You
Told Me” hit number seven on magic 93.1 the night after it
debuted. They have also gained spins on stations in Phoenix,
Tulsa, Detroit, Oklahoma City and Orlando.
BrokinSilence quickly gained local celebrity status performing
at all local venues in Boise as well as being the first R&B
group to win the 2002 rap war that was held at Bogies in
March. They have proven themselves as talented artists
whenever challenged and are truly a band t o look forward to
seeing in the near future.
Their first single will drop on Valentines Day and will be

BrokinSilence did not give me any specific venues it plans to
play next but said that the town they hit next better be ready
for the wave of BrokinSilence mania that they plan to bring
