NYC Police Line Up Suspect in JMJ Murder
The NYPD now have a description of the shooter suspected in the
slaying of pioneering DJ Jam Master Jay. Meanwhile, the Mizell
family will have the wake today with the funeral to happen tomorrow

founder Russell Simmons has put up a $100,000 reward for any info
leading to the arrests of Jay’s killers. NYPD officials suspect that
the shooters were possibly looking for Queens MC 50 Cent. 50, who
recently signed with Dr. Dre and Eminem, will be under police
protection until the investigation is wrapped up.
Angie Martinez Makes Quick Exit From American Idol
After only a week on the show, Angie Mar decided to quit being a
judge on the 2nd edition of Fox’s American Idol. Angie was
uncomfortable with dissing contestants lacking in talent, something
that co-host Simon Cowell become famous for. Martinez will appear on
the shows first two episodes as a guest judge.
R. Kelly Free To Perform At NYC Concert
A Chicago judge recently granted R. Kelly permission to leave the
state to perform at a show in the NYC area. Kel is set to appear
with the likes of Busta Rhymes, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, and
others on November 14th. Since Kelly’s indictment in June, he cannot
leave Illinois without a judge’s permission. Despite his legal
trouble, Kel’s new single “Ignition” debuted at #1 on the Billboard
R&B/Hip-Hop singles chart. Kelly is due back in court in December to
face 21 counts of child pornography.
VIP Tix Available For AIDS Benefit Concert At EMP
If you wanna attend the Missy Elliot show on Thursday, you can shell
out $500 for VIP tickets. MTV released an undisclosed amount of VIP
tickets, which includes admission to the after party. Proceeds from
the ticket sales benefit Seattle’s Lifelong AIDS Alliance and
YouthAIDS charities.
