Frenchie Davis was dismissed from the American Idol competition
after revealing she appeared on an online porn site 4 years ago.
Now, Frenchie is a pretty big girl, and the judges had a problem
with her image even though she can sing her ass off. I’m just
wondering if her size was the real reason she was kicked off the
show.
Parole Hearing Delayed for Suge
The California
Board of Prison Terms postponed the hearing that was to determine
whether Suge Knight will be going back to the pen. The hearing is
delayed because the Board will need to examine whether or not Suge
had legal representation at the hearing in which Knight’s parole was
revoked. Suge has been locked up since last December for violating
his parole. Knight allegedly associated with known gang members,
which was in violation. The new hearing should happen within the
next few weeks.
No Pepsi Boycott: Russell Reaches
Agreement
Russell Simmon’s
Hip-Hop Action Network Summit reached an agreement with Pepsi that
will avoid the planned boycott on Pepsi products. The software
giant agreed to a multi-million dollar deal with the Ludacris
Foundation and Russell’s Rush Arts. Pepsi will contribute to both
non-profit organizations to support the Arts in the hood. Luda’s
Pepsi commercial will not re-appear on TV, but the agreement will
certainly help both his and Russell’s charities.
50 Tops Billboard Charts
50 Cent’s debut
album sold 872,000 copies over the weekend, and will debut atop the
Billboard 200 this week. According to SoundScan, 50’s debut was had
the 4th-highest first week sales of any Hip-Hop album.
Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ reached numbers only surpassed by
The Eminem Show, The Marshall Mathers LP, and
Doggystyle. Now that’s some elite company.
