In case you missed ‘Rap the Runway’ here is the rundown:
“Seattle is on its grind 25/8. We showcase and display a wide range of talents such as music, fashion, acting and more. ‘Rap The Runway’ was an epic event that displayed Seattle’s many gifted artist in music as well as fashion. This event was held at the Flight Super Lounge in Seattle on Oct. 22nd 2011. The room was filled with some of Seattle’s elite and was a great look for those in the city wanting to branch out into music and fashion careers. The event showcased many hip-hop and R&B Pacific Northwest native talent such as ‘Rookie Snow’ ‘Ms. Erica Jay’ ‘Q-Dot’ ‘Nic The Slick’ ‘D-Alo’ and rising MC ‘Young Trace’ who was the main performer that night in support of his new mix tape that is slated for a release this week on I-Tunes titled ‘Life after ball… still ballin’.
There was a lot of bottle poppin and socializing throughout this event as DJ Headline spinned on the 1's and 2's …and as the clock struck midnight the fashion show began. Rising clothing lines such as ‘Dinjeez’ ‘Swagger and Young’ and ‘Hip-Hop Junkeez’ all displayed their clothing lines while a lot of the artists performed on stage. Being a fan of urban/trendy clothing, I must say all of the fashion lines looked great and I am proud to say I am a huge fan of their work and I will support all of their clothing lines in the future. Throughout the night the vibe was filled with so much excitement and a lot of congratulations to everyone involved. All of the artists, clothing lines and more all repped Seattle, WA. as their home. As a consumer I must say we have to support our local talent. This community event brought together the city of Seattle and Washington State as a whole. The night was all about supporting each other’s endeavors; and also showing other communities Seattle has many talents and hidden treasures. Stay tuned for more community events to support our talents. Special thanks to Mary Thach and Young Trace for inviting me to this event. ‘Rap The Runway’ was a well-crafted event and you can check out all of the photos from this event on www.Seaspot.com ."
